About Shake A Rake This community wide
event is a great way for the town as a whole to get to know each other! The youth of Akron getting involved and
doing volunteer work to raise money for the community by helping those who have
projects that need some assistance! A Random Act of Kindness is a great way of
getting to know our neighbors and the community getting to know the youth of
Akron.
A community project
of this nature can help the town not only keep it cleaner but helps the
community as a whole.
The weeks of October 7th thru the 21st
will be the annual Shake a Rake Week.
Where local Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Cub Scout, Brownie and Youth Leagues
form teams to compete in doing local community clean up for pledged people. They can help in many ways, from large jobs
to smaller ones. |
