TITLE: FORESTER/TIMBER BUYER TRAINEE

We have an extraordinary career opportunity for a FORESTER/TIMBER BUYER TRAINEE to work at our west-central Indiana sawmill in the town of Carbon. Primary duties will be as follows:

• Initiate contact with private forestland owners.

• Search out property descriptions—locate and identify woods boundaries.

• Mark, measure and evaluate standing timber.

• Negotiate and contract for the purchase.

Desired job qualifications are as follows:

• Four-year baccalaureate degree in Forestry.

• Good academic performance.

• Proficient in math and communication skills.

• Agricultural or forestry related background very helpful.

• Proficiency in map and compass use.

• Energetic, motivated and rugged outdoor person.
